An apple a day keeps the doctor away..... Maybe not

I recently came across these statistics on pesticides. While the article may seem alarming, it did not mention how much pesticide residue was detected. Just the percent of fruits and vegetables analyzed. Do more research if you are concerned.

  • 93 % of non organic oranges analyzed contained Pesticed residues
  • 78% of apples
  • 43% of all fruit and vegetables analyzed had detectable levels of pesticides
  • 50% of lettuce contained residue from 7 or more chemicals
  • 71% of cereal bars contain pesticides
  • 83% of oily fish like tuna had pesticide residue
It gets worse, peaches, strawberries, spinach, basically any fruit or veggie is swimming in a toxic soup. Even washing and peeling the skin may not provide any help.

I am not pro organic or take a stance one way or the other. But the info is eye opening.

Why am I not on John Iam's PRRT list?

This post is to clarify some questions that have come up from people visiting my website and clicking on the PRRT link that use to be there, and asking why I am not listed on the Primal Reflex Release Technique website as a practitioner.

To date I have taken three of the four PRRT training levels. At one time I was listed on the practitioner list. However, after a misunderstanding with John Iams son Craig, who does administrative work for his father, Craig felt the need to remove me from the list. Other therapists have told me sadly, they have had issues as well. This misunderstanding has been resolved politely with John, however, Craig refuses to place me back on the list. Sounds like being in kindergarten again, oh boy.

I incorporate PRRT into a lot of my treatments because it is so very effective, and patients request it for its effectiveness in relieving pain and increasing range of motion. I now combine PRRT with other reflex therapies, lumping them together into Pain Reflex Elimination Therapy category.

I will always support my use of reflex therapy for patient care, however, I will no longer support the work of John Iams or his company Superspine.

Types of Massage Therapy

Over the years many specific therapeutic massage techniques have been developed and added to massage therapy protocols. The trick is finding the one that treats your problem, not just the symptom. Symptoms are rarely the main source of your problem. I can help you.

Not all massage therapists or their therapy are the same. Most people ignore this fact when looking for pain relief. This often results in limited relief and a waste of your time and money. Future Blogs will focus on specific treatment options that I use to get people out of pain fast....Stay tuned or give me a call at 534-1009

Does your body talk......you bet it does.

Pain and suffering. Everyone has it and everyone wants it to go away. We seek out many different therapies to find relief. Massage Therapy, Chiropractors, Physical Therapy, counseling, medical doctors and many more. While many people receive relief from their suffering with various modalities, many more do not. Our bodies are very complex and have many systems that must work together. Most therapies only address one of them ie, muscles, spine, mental. What if there was a way for the body to tell us what it needs to heal and acheive health and in what order. There is such a way...BodyTalk.

BodyTalk was developed and is still developing, over the last fifteen years by Dr. John Velthiem. As a Chiropractor and Acupuncturist he realized that the body has an innate wisdom that when working properly can keep the body in health. When the different systems of our bodies fail to work and communicate together, we develop symptoms and disease. Dr. Velthiem also realized that the body always has a top priority item it wants addressed, as well as an order of treatment.

Using Bodytalk, we are able to ask the body through nueromuscular feedback the following.
  • What is the top priority problem my body wants to address.
  • In what order does it want treatment.
  • What are the underlying causes of my symptoms.
  • What BodyTalk or other modality will correct my problem.
Basically with BodyTalk, we are resoring communication with the bodies higher intelligence and the various complex system that all work together in perfect harmony. With BodyTalk we never diagnose disease or conditions. Relief of symptoms can be quite quick or may take a few treatments depending on the skill of the therapist and the bodies priority.

BodyTalk has grown exponentially the last fifteen years with thousands of therapists worldwide.
Just recently BodyTalk course work has come to Spokane. I am one of four practitioner in training in Spokane studying for certification in this new therapy that I feel will change how we treat illness in the years to come.

The results I am seeing in people receiving BodyTalk sessions is quite amazing. The body really can heal its self with a little up from my friends.
